Triggering Penny’s Cutscenes

penny stardew valley

Triggering Penny’s cutscenes is incredibly easy and won’t force players to go too far out of their way.

Two Hearts

Enter town between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to see Penny helping George to get his mail. George will get mad, and you will be asked for your opinion.

“I was. You did a kind thing there, Penny.”+50 friendship points
“I was. You should’ve asked instead of assuming George wanted help.”-50 friendship points
“I’m just taking a walk, minding my own business.”No change in friendship points

After your first answer, you’ll be prompted to respond again after George and Penny talk some more. Your answer here has no effect on friendship.

Four Hearts

Visit Penny during a time slot when she’s home to help her clean.

Six Hearts

Once again, visit Penny while she is home. This time she will get you to try her cooking and then ask your opinion on it.

If you decide to lie+50 friendship points
If you ask for the rest to go-50 friendship points
If you tell her it’s unique and rubberyNo change in friendship points

Eight Hearts

For this event, you will want to visit Cindersap Forest among nine a.M. And 4 p.M. Unlike maximum occasions, this one will ask you to make decisions. Both revolve around interacting with Jas and Vincent. Next, you’ll want to talk about having children with Penny.

First prompt:

“I’d love to!”+10 friendship points
“Sure.”No change in friendship points
“No… I can’t stand kids.”-1,500 friendship points (yes, you read that right)

If you agree to talk to the kids, you’ll be prompted a few more times, but none of the answers affect your friendship with Penny. Then, she asks if you want to be a parent:

“I haven’t really thought about it.”No change in friendship points
“Absolutely. I want a big family.”+20 friendship points
“I guess so. It’s a natural urge.”+20 friendship points
“No, I don’t think I’d be good at it.”+10 friendship points
“No, the world’s crowded enough already.”-10 friendship points
“No, I don’t want to be tied down with a family.”-10 friendship points

Ten Hearts

You will receive a letter in the mail from Penny. Head to the Spa between 7 p.m. and midnight to trigger this cutscene There will be a couple of points in this conversation when you’ll have to respond. None of the options matter except in the second prompt, when she says she has feelings for you. If you choose to say “Sorry, but I don’t like you in that way…” you will lose 1,500 friendship points with Penny, which is six full hearts.

Fourteen Hearts

Each of the marriage candidates has a 14 heart event that you can experience after marriage. Since it’s not part of romancing them before marriage, we won’t spoil Penny’s here for you!
